Emeraude Toubia

 Emeraude Toubia (born March 1, 1989) is a native of Canada. American model and actress who played Isabelle Lightwood on the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters. Toubia was born in Montreal. Her family was from Brownsville, Texas as an sole child. Her mother, Mirta Sonia (nee Solis) was born and was raised in Ciudad Victoria, Mexico, as was her father, who was Lebanese and American. Toubia's paternal grandparents are from Lebanon's Koura District. In 1999, Toubia was ten years old and made her first TV appearance in Televisa's El Mundo de los Ninos. In 2008, Toubia became well-known when she was chosen to take part in the second season Univision's beauty pageant series Nuestra Belleza Latina. Here contestants were instructed in acting and dancing as well as presenting. Toubia was the first third place finisher. Toubia has appeared in advertisements for brands such as Garnier, J. C.
